The JW Marriott Marquis is a five-star hotel situated in Business Bay, Dubai. It is the tallest hotel in the world standing at over 355 metres high (1,165 feet).
It has 76 storeys with over 1,600 guest rooms and suites spread across two towers with panoramic views over the city of Dubai. The hotel is run by Marriott International.
Originally, the hotel was going to be one 77 storey high building however; it moved locations from along the Sheikh Zayed Road to Business Bay and had to be split into two 355 metre towers because of the construction work that was already going on. Its height also had to be reduced as it was originally going to be 395 metres tall, but was reduced to 355 metres in a redesign.
The buildings were completed in 2012 and they include 14 food outlets, rooftop bars, a business centre, conference halls, meeting rooms, spa, retail outlets, a swimming pool and a gym.
